MKS Pedals 3000-S

In 1949 MKS developed the Type 3000 pedal there was about 40 companies manufacturing bicycles pedals in Japan.
MKS was a new company, and decided to differentiate them selves by focusing on Quality. Perhaps this strategy was the right one, because today 70 years later MKS is still making pedals, and specifically still making the Type 3000 pedal.
MKS designed the Type 3000 to be used on a popular style of utility bicycles at the time called a Roadster, but have found it at home not only on classic bikes, but also on rat rods, beach cruisers, commuters, and leisure bikes.
While MKS has made some changes over time, the Type 3000S is essentially the same pedal that helped launch our brand, making it an excellent choice for historically accurate re-builds.
Unlike most of our current pedal line, the Type 3000 pedal body is made of steel, so a pair weighs in at 722 grams.
