Gremlins Bicycle Emporium was born in Carson Lessif’s workshop in 2020. He started out by servicing bikes in the London and Toronto areas, then grew to selling second hand refurbished bikes across Ontario. The team found each other organically. Originally friends working at the same outdoor gear store- Carson, Aaron and Mason formed a connection surrounding their shared love for cycling, outdoors, and mechanics. We bonded over our love for vintage bikes, the history, and the culture. We opened up our first shop to the public in 2021 on Adelaide Street. Wyatt, Mateus, and Evan joined the team in 2021 as the demand for bike service grew and we soon expanded to carry new bikes. We had a great time meeting lots of loyal customers and friends in our first location but we quickly outgrew it. This was where our Gremlins Thursday Night Group Ride was born. We have been running our community rides weekly in the summer time since 2021. We also host a variety of races and events such as our Lot Jam- a vintage clothing sale featuring a number of different local clothing vendors, the Seahorse Classic- a multi stage mountain bike race, and multiple years of The Vintage Mountain Bike Show featuring over 40 ultra rare vintage mountain bikes displayed in a gallery that we co-host with another local bike club in Toronto. Check out The Vintage Mountain Bike Show gallery under the 'Content' tab.

We moved into our flagship shop located at 623 Richmond St. downtown London, Ontario in the spring of 2023. We have expanded extensively to carry a wide range of new road, mountain, commuter, track, and e-bikes from Cannondale, Cinelli, Brodie, Soma and more as well as continue to refurbish vintage bikes.  We have continued to host our weekly group rides gathering upward of 100 people weekly. We enjoy promoting other local businesses in the process by ending our group rides at a variety of different restaurants and bars around downtown.

We want to promote cycling as an excellent form of exercise, transportation, and way of life for everyone, as well as a positive and inclusive environment for the community. Cycling benefits a wide variety of things such as mental health, physical conditioning, critical thinking skills, leadership skills, and environmental impacts. Cycling creates a more scenic city and promotes diversity across transportation systems.

We want to promote Gremlins as a brand, a bike shop, a hub for culture, and a catalyst for activity. By creating a strong brand image pulling from past, present, and future flavours, we will indefinitely leave our mark on the scene in Canada and around the world.

We appreciate everyone who comes into our shop, interacts with us online, or buys something from our webstore. Feel free to stop by and say hi any time, we love meeting cool new folks in the bike world.
