Steve Potts / Signature / 1987

Steve Potts along with Charlie Cunningham and Mark Slate founded Wilderness Trail Bikes. WTB filled a void in the market with high quality products designed to outlast their owners. Many of their innovations are standard equipment on today's bikes. Steve Potts is widely considered to be among the finest bike builders in the world. This ’87 Signature was unfinished but was completed by Steve in 2012 - he added the braze ons and the fillet brazed Potts Type II fork. He also built an LD stem in order for the bike to utilize ‘dirt drops’ which was a brainchild of Charlie Cunningham. This bike has a full complement of WTB parts which have become extremely difficult to find. The frame and the parts on this bike are new old stock - this bike has only had a test drive around the block. It is considered to be the ‘highest level Potts in existence’.
