Schwinn / Homegrown Elite / 1999

After Schwinn was bought out from Schwinn family in 1993 the shop moved from Chicago to Boulder. The Schwinn product line went from being all below $1000 steel junkers and quickly transformed into high end hard-tail full suspension bikes made in the USA. Schwinn had bikes manufactured by Yeti, ControlTech, Top Key and Anodizing Inc; the maker of this frame. The bike was made in the USA and is finished in the beautiful Bass Boat Green paint. The production of high end American made Schwinn bicycles came to an end in 2001 after filing for bankruptcy.
