Mountain Goat / Deluxe / 1988
In 1981, Jeff Lindsay started Mountain Goat Frames. His highly artistic designs were considered groundbreaking and ahead of their time. The Deluxe was at the top of Mountain Goat's offerings, and is known for the ovalized top and down tubes, internal seat-post binder, and edgy paint jobs. Mountain Goat would quickly become a top tier name in custom mountain bikes, and Jeff Lindsay would be inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in 1989. This Deluxe is painted in an understated ‘Rainbow Sparkle’ and the brake tracks on the rims clearly indicate it’s been a true ‘Garage Queen’.
