AMP Research / B3 / 1995

Horst Leitner developed the Horst link rear end and innovated the future of design in full suspension bikes using his expertise from designing in the motorcycle world to facilitate his ideas. Leitner initially had designed the “horst link” rear end for Specialized. In his words “Seemed like they (Specialized) wanted to make a suspension bike, but were screwing around and going nowhere.” With this conclusion he quickly assembled a small factory and began producing lightweight aluminum machines that had not been seen before.
